    07-8035 – At the Fairview Library a tractor trailer truck driving south on Anderson Ave tore down overhead phones wires knocking out the Libraries internet access. The wires being pulled caused the concrete façade to pull away from the building.  Police were able to locate the truck and a report was filed.

    07-7978 – Police responded to a report of an intoxicated party at 363 Fairview Ave.  When police arrived the party attacked the police officers, he was subdued and arrested.  The officers did not suffer any injuries.

    07-7817 – Two additional females were arrested from Aztec Spa on charges related to prostitution.

    07-7802 – Two female employees from the Aztec Spa  located at 222 Bergen Blvd were arrested on charges related to prostitution.  Additional charges are still possible.

    07-7469 – Yevgenyi Adragin was apprehended in North Bergen by the Fairview Police for an arrest warrant signed against him in early July. Adragin was on run and refused to turn himself. He was apprehended as he exited the residence where he was staying.  See 9/6/07 Press Release on News page for further information.

    07-7437 – Multiple vehicles were broken into in the parking lot at WOW.  The matter is being investigated.

    07-7231 – The police department continues its crackdown on unlicensed massage therapist.  Four summonses were issued to the employees of Fairview Acupuncture located on Fairview Ave for failure to register with the Borough as a massage therapist.

    07-7156 – There was a fight at 7-11 located on Fairview Ave.  When police arrived two men admitted that they were both fighting.  Both were issued summons for disorderly conduct.

    07-6922 – Two parties were seen taking plants from a house.  Both parties were apprehended and charged with theft.

    07-6830 – A possible fight at 303 Bergen Blvd turned into a search by Bergen County PD K-9 for a knife.  The knife was recovered and charges were filed.

    07-6799 – A motor vehicle accident lead into a DWI arrest by PO Mattessich.

    07-6761 – The Ritz club was found to be operating after they were closed by the Building Department.  An inspector was notified and responded.  The business were be fined accordingly.

    07-6758 - A large fight was reported at LaFortuna.  Upon police arrival mutual aid was requested from surrounding police departments for assistance.  Fight was brought under control and three were arrested, charged with disorderly conduct, rioting, and resisting arrest.

    07-6652 – A female caller stated that she observed two people trying to get into her vehicle.  The two individuals were described as possibly juveniles wearing all black.  A check of the area came up negative and nothing was taken from the vehicle.

    07-6503 – At the corner of Walker Street and Anderson Ave the lighting apparently struck a high voltage power line.  The line was knocked down and was on fire.  The Fire Department and Police stayed on scene until the power was turned off by utility company.  Traffic was halted in all directions at the intersection.  The power was out in the area for over twenty hours.

    07-6482 – A robbery took place at Dunkin Dounuts located on Anderson Ave and Edgewater Road at 3:30 AM.  Proceeds were cash from the register.  No weapons were shown and there were no injuries.  The Detective Bureau is actively investigating the incident.

    07-6438 – The No Name Club was found to be operating, in violation of their closing the prior day.  Numerous patrons were brought to police headquarters.  One male was charged with soliciting prostitution and a female was citied for performing therapeutic massages without a license.  The investigation continues and charges are still pending.

    07-6412 – No Name Club located at 378 Bergen Blvd. was closed by Fairview’s Building Department for being in violation of the business use.

    07-6389 – While Lt. Anari was headed home after work, he observed a drug transaction.  Casey Galosic of Fairview was arrested and charged with multiple CDS offenses.  He was transported to the Bergen County Jail and bail was set at $500,000.

    07-6298 – During regular patrol PO Pierotti performed a motor vehicle stop.  After some investigation it was believed that the driver was intoxicated.  The driver was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

    07-4721 - An elderly gentleman that did not speak much found himself lost in Fairview.  He attempted to take the bus to Fort Lee but missed his stop.  Through language line Officers were able to determine his name.  His daughter was contacted and safely picked him up.

    07-4630 – A motor vehicle accident proceeded into a fight were both parties involved were arrested.

    07-4605 – Police arrested Deivis Santiago for possession of CDS and aggravated assault on a police officer.

    07-4584 - At around 10:45 AM a loaded tractor-trailer truck coming from 815 Fairview Ave attempted to turn left onto east bound Fairview Ave when something caused the load to shift.  The load ripped the side of the trailer apart and the tractor was unable to move blocking traffic in both directions on Fairview Ave.  The tractor had to been unloaded by hand and then towed by our local towing company.  The entire event took over two and half hours to complete.  Traffic was at a stand still on southbound Broad Ave and no traffic was able to pass on Fairview Ave.  Many trucking and construction companies use Fairview Ave endless all day long to reach their places of business but today many were stranded unable to reach their business.

    07-4431 - In the early morning hours a dumpster fire was reported at the 7-11 in lower Fairview.  The Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished it.

    07-4428 - At a local catering hall a suspect stole items from individuals attending a party.  The suspect then left the party and threw the items on the roof of a local school.  The police apprehended the suspect and with the assistance of the Fairview Fire Department were able to recover most of the stolen items

    07-4156 - A burglary occurred on Harding Place.  Please be vigilant of any suspicious activity.

    07-4124 - An attempted burglary occurred on Henry Street. A passerby saw suspicious activity and contacted police.  When police responded they found door molding and a locked tampered but no one in the area.  This is an ongoing investigation.

    07-3712 - At 2:00 AM a party was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

    07-3632 - At 8:00 AM a Fairview DPW truck was on fire in front of the Fairview Library.  The fire department responded and extsguinshed a small fire in the truck. 

    07-3653 - At around 2:30 PM a dump truck broke down on Broad Ave.  In order to tow the truck the police had to shut down southbound Broad Ave. for close to an hour.  Traffic was snarled in both directions as construction continued in the northbound lane.

    07-3628 - The family of Frank Rizzi came into police headquarters and reported him missing.  He was placed missing in NCIC.  The police are investigating and trying to locate him.

    07-3576 - At 1:15 PM the police were notified of a fire at Waste Management Inc.  The fire department responded and found a small fire in the dump area.  The fire was extinguished and caused no damage.

    07-3507 - At 6:30 AM a homeowner called and said that their home was being burglarized.  Officers responded to the scene and arrested one male for burglary.  He was charged, processed and transferred to Bergen County Jail.

    07-3460 - A male party was struck by a falling garage door. He suffered an injury to his head and foot. He was transported to Hackensack Medical Center.

    07-3406 - A mountain bike was stolen from out front of the Fairview Library. The bike was red in color.

    07-3367 - Two males were caught shoplifting from American Classic Liquors on Anderson Ave. While in custody stolen credit cards were found on one of the males. Both were charged with shoplifting and additional charges were filed on the male with the stolen credit cards.

    07-3311 - Report came from the Special Police on their Anderson Ave walking post that someone was throwing eggs and bottles at buildings. The area was checked and no indication of the incidents was found.

    07-3240 - A female and a male were arrested for defiant trespassing in a basement of a building on Anderson Ave. The male had prior warrants from Hudson County and was turned over to the Hudson County Sheriff's Department.

    07-3217 - Two female parities attempted to cash a check at local check cashing business. The check they presented was counterfeit. They received it in the mail from USA Mega Jackpots claiming they won $75,000. It turns out to be a scam.

    07-3196 - A robbery occurred at 274 Broad Ave at around 10:30 AM. The actors were described as one Hispanic male about 5' 10" to 5' 11" tall and one heavy set female about 5' 5" wearing pink pants
